Western Leisure Services Pty (WLS) Ltd plays a vital role in supporting the health, wellbeing and social connection of the Wyndham community through the delivery of high-quality leisure facilities and services.
As a subsidiary of Wyndham City Council, WLS operates across multiple sites and is focused on delivering strong community outcomes alongside sustainable, commercially sound performance. An opportunity now exists for an experienced Non-Executive Director to join the independent Board, following the retirement of a long-standing member.
The Board oversees the operation of three key facilities within Wyndham City:
AquaPulse – a state-of-the-art aquatic and fitness facility
Eagle Stadium – a regional high ball stadium with a large gymnasium
Werribee Outdoor Pool
Job Description
The Board’s role is to provide strategic direction and governance oversight, ensuring these facilities continue to meet the evolving needs of a rapidly growing community while maintaining high standards of service delivery and financial sustainability.
We are seeking candidates with demonstrated Board experience, sound judgement and strong communication skills, who can contribute to effective governance and strategic decision-making.
Desired Skills and Experience
Applicants who have a strong connection with the communities of the west and an understanding of the sectors including venue management, aquatics, sport & leisure, local govt will be considered favourably.
